Homes built before the mid-2000s often run on wiring and consumer units that pre-date modern safety standards, no RCD protection, no AFDDs, aluminium conductors, degraded insulation. You may not notice until something trips, scorches, or worse. And lenders now flag this on mortgage surveys.

We assess, test and certify. If a rewire is needed we schedule it sympathetically (usually 2–5 days for a typical 3-bed). If it's just a consumer unit upgrade or a few socket relocations, that's often a one-day job. Every job ends with a certificate that stands up to mortgage surveys, landlord inspections and insurance.
